Liposuction

In fat shaping surgery, it is aimed to redistribute body fat to the desired areas in the desired amount. The number and distribution of fat cells are shaped by gender, structural features, and familial structure until puberty. After puberty, the number of fat cells does not increase. After that, in case of weight gain, the size of the fat cells increases. Generally, fat is seen in the hips, hips, legs and abdomen in women, and in the belly and waist in men.
Even if he loses weight with diet and sports in some areas, the fat in some areas does not melt or is less. Fat in the stubborn area creates unwanted images in the shape of the body. This leads to aesthetic problems. It is fat shaping surgery to absorb fat in unwanted areas with vacuum assisted systems (liposuction) and transfer fat to areas where volume is desired. The goal is not to lose weight, but to shape the body.
Liposuction is not a weight loss surgery, it is the process of removing small amounts of fat from certain areas despite proper diet and sports. Fat suction can be performed from the chin and neck, hips, upper arms, thighs, breast or chest area, inner side of the knee, back, calves and ankles, abdomen and waist area. Beforehand, it is planned with a standing examination and drawings from which areas to absorb fat and to which areas to transfer fat. The drugs used by the person for additional diseases and allergies should be questioned in detail, and the patient should share this information with his/her physician.

The procedure is a surgical method and is performed under operating room conditions with local anesthesia and sedation or general anesthesia. Before the procedure, solutions containing adrenaline and local anesthetic are given to the planned areas. Small entrance holes are opened and the adipose tissue is broken down by mechanical, ultrasound or LASER energy. Then the oils are sucked with the help of vacuum injector or engine. The highest amount of fat that can be taken without putting the patient at risk is 10% of the body weight. The fats taken can be prepared and transferred to the planned areas.
The success of the surgery is directly proportional to the skin elasticity. An elastic skin will recover quickly after the procedure and the desired tension will be achieved. Skin elasticity deteriorates in smokers in areas with frequent weight gain and loss, pregnancy and stretch marks. Sagging occurs on the skin that is discharged. Excess skin should be cut and removed.
Postoperatively, the patient is carried out early. He is discharged 1 day later. He needs to wear a special corset for 3-4 weeks. In the first 3 weeks, there may be swelling, bruises, skin firmness and decreased sensation. This situation regresses after the 3rd week. The final shape begins to form after the 3rd month.
If the patient gains weight again, it is not possible to gain weight in the same way from the liposuction area. However, by gaining weight from other regions, undeliverable rates occur in body fat distribution. For this reason, the procedure is not recommended for patients whose weight is not stable.
