Lip Aesthetics
Having full beautiful lips brings a youthful and attractive appearance. Although mostly hyaluronic acid-containing filling materials are used for lip aesthetics, surgical treatment becomes necessary in some cases.
More often, in case of congenital thinness of the lips or thinning of the lips with age, people apply with the desire to increase the volume of their lips. We can increase the volume with filling materials in office conditions, as well as by transferring the fat taken from the body of the individual, which is relatively more permanent. This procedure is a relatively easy procedure that can be performed under sterile operating room conditions and can be performed locally or accompanied by sedation. Usually, the patient can go home the same day.
Along with the thinning of the lip with aging, the base-to-lip distance of the nose also lengthens and sagging of the lips occurs. In these cases, filling materials alone may not be sufficient to correct the deformity. In such cases, lip lift surgery (Liplift) should be included in the treatment plan. The operation, which can usually be performed under local anesthesia, is performed after appropriate measurement and planning, and the scars are hidden on the side of the nose. In addition, it is possible to suspend the lips with a rope in selected patients.
In an individual suffering from thick lips, incisions can be made in the pink-red area of the lip, and the tissues can be removed and the lip thinned.
